Where does Steelers Ben Roethlisberger rank among AFC North quarterbacks?

3. Joe Burrow
No disrespect to Browns fans, but Baker Mayfield’s step back in 2019 was more than a little concerning. The former 2018 first overall pick went from throwing 27 touchdowns and 14 interceptions as a rookie to 22 touchdowns and 21 interceptions last year.
For this reason, I think it’s possible that a rookie prospect as good as Joe Burrow could come in and outplay Mayfield from the gate.
Burrow has drawn comparisons to Tony Romo for his ability to deliver accurate passes from anywhere in the pocket and his innate ability to extend plays with his legs. Though he has a solid group of receivers to work within Cincinnati, his biggest challenge will be the overall lack of talent on the team.
Burrow will have many games where he is forced to play from behind. For a rookie quarterback, that’s always a difficult task. Still, I think he could impress as a rookie.
