4. Pittsburgh Steelers

Obviously, this means the Steelers currently have the worst running backs in the AFC  North heading into the 2020 season. While this is subject to change, they are the only team in their division that doesn’t have a true feature running back.

It’s been said that the best ability is availability, and James Conner has a lot of trouble staying healthy. Even if he did, his lack of burst and explosion would make him just an average starting running back.

Though young backs like Anthony McFarland and Benny Snell will have a chance to prove themselves in the coming years, Pittsburgh is currently outmatched by their rivals at the running back position.

Eventually, the Steelers will invest another high draft pick into a running back to get their workhorse back, but for now, we can expect much of a committee approach in 2020. Let’s hope their run game doesn’t hold their offense back this year.
