Steelers: Stealing one player from every division in the NFL

NFC West: Aaron Donald, DT

Even though Aaron Donald is the oldest player on this list, he is far and away one of the most talented. Dominating NFL offensives since his rookie season in 2014, Donald has been named to a pro bowl in every season he has played in so far. As well, he has logged 72 total sacks in span, making him one of the most disruptive defenders during those six years.

Now, in the Steelers system, he could line up as the starting NT in base defense as well as shifting to more of a DE in sub-packages. He would form a devastating rotation along the defensive line and would make the unit almost unstoppable. While NT is not his natural position, Donald’s talent as well as the fact he would be used more naturally in passing situations should lead to plenty of more dominant seasons from Donald.

AFC West: Patrick Mahomes, QB

The piece de resistance comes in the form of Patrick Mahomes, arguably one of the most dominant young QBs to ever play in the NFL. Mahomes does everything well; he can throw it deep, pick defenses apart in the short game, and can gain yards scrambling if he needs to. He can put the team on his back and win any game that he plays in.

As well, he would be joining an offense with a lot of talented targets. He would get the best out of his targets with the Steelers and should take over and effectively replace Ben Roethlisberger. While Mahomes will be due a mega-contract soon, he has earned every penny of it so far. Adding him to the roster will make the Steelers super bowl contenders for the next decade easily.

While the Steelers adding these players is unfortunately just fantasy, the idea of adding all of this talent is tantalizing. While there are plenty of talented players rostered around the NFL, these players, in particular, make the most sense to add to a dream Steelers roster.
