Fastest Pittsburgh Steelers of all time: 10. Antonio Brown
If there’s ever a good time to use the cliche term ‘sneaky fast,’ it’s when referring to former Steelers wide receiver, Antonio Brown. The four-time All-Pro receiver was known for many things in the NFL, but his top-end speed wasn’t something that was mentioned often.
Though he ran just a 4.56 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine back in 2010, Brown played significantly faster than his timed speed would indicate – as evidenced by one big play after another.
Brown seemed to get faster mid-way through his NFL career, and there were reports that he was clocked running in the mid 4.4s while he was on the Steelers.
Unfortunately, the name Antonio Brown will probably always be a bit tarnished in the eyes of Pittsburgh fans thanks to the embarrassing way he forced himself off the team. However, he was arguably the best wide receiver the Steelers have had in their storied history, and his speed was always underrated.
