10 fastest Pittsburgh Steelers players of the 2000s

Fastest Pittsburgh Steelers of all time: 5. Dri Archer
If this was just a listing of players in order by timed speed, Dri Archer would be right at the top of this list. While he was electrifying as a small-school player out of Kent State, his elite speed didn’t translate to the NFL as many expected it to.
Archer blew participants out of the water with his blazing 4.26 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine in 2014. But despite averaging over 7 yards per rushing attempt and over 28 yards per kick return in college, those numbers drastically dipped in the NFL.
For the Steelers, Archer managed just 4.0 yards per rush and a dismal 3.3 yards per reception. In addition, he underwhelmed with just 22.4 yards per kick return in his two seasons with the team. Though he didn’t pan out in the NFL, the sheer fact that Archer recorded one of the fastest 40 times ever is enough to land him at number five on this list.
