Fastest Pittsburgh Steelers of all time: 4. Martavis Bryant
Here’s where it starts to get a little bit tricky. On the eye test alone, you could argue that Martavis Bryant could land as high as number two on the list of the fastest Pittsburgh Steelers players of the 2000s. However, I slated him at number four.
Though Bryant ran just an official 4.42 at the NFL Combine in 2014, he certainly played like a 4.3 receiver. Bryant exploded from the gate – averaging 21.1 yards per reception during his rookie season. Unfortunately, his career was derailed by multiple suspensions – causing him to miss about half of his NFL career to this point, including his entire 2016 season with the Steelers.
Had he kept his head on straight, Bryant would have had a chance to go down as one of the best deep-ball wideouts the Steelers have ever had. His elite play speed lands him at number four on my list of fastest Pittsburgh Steelers of the 2000s.
