New York Giants

Met Life Stadium was not a friendly place for the 2019 Steelers. This year just like last season the Steelers are 2.5 point favorites on the road against the New York Giants according to BetOnline.ag.

This time around the Steelers are opening the season at Met Life. Week one is going to come with a lot of anticipation from Steelers faithful about the health of their quarterback. We have seen videos of Ben Roethlisberger throwing to his teammates in a practice setting. However, nothing game speed or long distance. Ben is known for his equally as accurate and effortless throwing ability. I believe the Pittsburgh -2.5 point spread would change drastically if the team says Ben sits week one.

The Giants offense also brings the task of defending one of the league’s top running backs, Saquon Barkley. Joe Judge will be working with a somewhat revamped offensive line to open up holes for Barkley. He is the type of running back that could have a 150 plus yard performance if the Steelers don’t come ready to stop the run.

After opening up the last two seasons with a draw in 2018 and a loss in 2019 during normal league years. I would expect some rust on the wheels to start this season.
