Franco Harris

Seattle Seahawks

When you see Franco Harris and his Italian army at the Three River Stadium, it would have been impossible imagining him in another jersey other than the Steelers. However, even Franco got up and left the Steelers before retiring as he ran his way onto Seattle to play for the Seahawks in a retirement tour. Harris struggled only playing in eight games and totaling 170 yards and zero touchdowns.

Harris was at the end of his career and the Steelers knew that, but it seems like Harris had other thoughts going on in his head. He wanted to prove the Steelers and the rest of the NFL wrong so he packed his bags and ventured out to a rainy city that saw little franchise success up to that point. Seattle had yet to capture a Super Bowl Championship, something Harris was familiar with doing as he won four with the Steelers. Harris was not able to show the Steelers that they were wrong with letting the aging veteran go as he struggled in Seattle.

Harris had a hard time with the Seahawks only playing half a season. He would retire after the year and be well remembered for his amazing playing days with the Steelers. Not many remember Harris in a Seattle jersey, but it really happened.
