ESPN’s Bill Barnwell projects future Hall of Famers for all 32 NFL teams. Here are the Pittsburgh Steelers he believes will make it in Canton one day.

The Steelers are one of the most storied and successful franchises in the history of the NFL. Beginning with unmatched success in the 1970s, Pittsburgh’s combination of three legendary head coaches have found a way to carry that all the way to the present.

Along the way, there have been many players who have heard their names called to the Hall of Fame. Most recently, four-time All-Pro safety Troy Polamalu was voted in on the first ballot alongside his head coach for several years, Bill Cowher. Longtime starting safety from the 70s and 80s, Donnie Shell, also made the cut this year.

While the trio of Pittsburgh Steelers legends will have to wait on the official induction ceremony, ESPN’s Bill Barnwell took the liberty of predicting future Hall of Famers for all 32 NFL teams. For his criteria, Barnwell listed all current Steelers who stood at least a small percent chance of making the Hall of Fame based on where they are in their careers and sorted them by percentage. Here’s what he came up with:

Ben Roethlisberger: 100% chance

This one doesn’t come as a big surprise, as Ben Roethlisberger has been a 16-year starter for the Steelers and has won two Super Bowls. Barnwell concurs that this selection is a 100 percent lock. While Roethlisberger has played just 4 full seasons in his first 16 years in the league, he has one of the best win percentages in the NFL.

Remarkably, Ben has never been named to a first-team All-Pro once since joining the league in 2004 and has made a modest 6 Pro Bowls in his career. For a player of his stature and a lock for the Hall of Fame, that’s an interesting side note.
