David DeCastro: 30% chance

Personally, I think David DeCastro is more deserving of the Hall of Fame than Maurkice Pouncey, but it’s not up to me. While Pro Bowls are a fan-voted award, DeCastro has the same amount of All-Pros as Pouncey and has graded as a better player in every season except his rookie year, according to Pro Football Focus.

However, despite making five consecutive Pro Bowls and earning All-Pro honors twice, DeCastro will likely end up falling short of the Hall of Fame at this point. Now 30 years old, DeCastro will need to find a way to lock down a few more All-Pro honors before hanging up his cleats.

Using Alan Faneca as the standard, DeCastro isn’t close to his personal achievements. As dominant as DeCastro has been for the Pittsburgh Steelers, it just goes to show you how hard it is to get into the Hall of Fame. If Faneca doesn’t make it soon, DeCastro won’t have a great chance either. Interior offensive lineman are often underrepresented in the Hall of Fame, and DeCastro would be no exception.
