Mike Vrabel to the Patriots

Mike Vrabel was a young and talented linebacker when he left the Steelers in 2001. He played mostly as a backup for Pittsburgh during his four-year stint there. Vrabel failed to ever start a game for the Steelers defense before packing his bags to a bigger opportunity as a starter for the Patriots defense. During his four year career as a Steeler, Vrabel put up seven sacks, three forced fumbles, and 56 combined tackles.

When he got to New England, he excelled and became an immediate impact player for Bill Belichick. Vrabel would succeed not only individually as a player, but the team around him would as well. The Patriots would be one of the most dominant teams and defenses in the time Vrabel played with the team.

During his eight-year career as a Patriot Vrabel was able to total 11 interceptions, 13 forced fumbles, 48 sacks, 606 total tackles, and 55 tackles for loss. On top of all these stats, Vrabel was able to grab three championships, one pro bowl nomination, and he gained a First-team All-pro nod as well.
