Jordan Dangerfield

The former talent out of Towson came out of college as an undrafted free agent and eventually found his way onto the Steelers practice squad where he would continue to grow as a player. After a brief stint with the Brooklyn Bolts of the Fall Experimental Football League, he would return to the Steelers and never leave again.

Ever since his return, Dangerfield has not gone away from the Steelers and has created a nice niche as a special teams demon. He has been able to become a nice player for Pittsburgh but he has failed to display much at all when it comes to playing meaningful defensive snaps.

During his time with the Steelers, Dangerfield has put up a stat sheet of 36 tackles and one forced fumble. Dangerfield finds himself on the hot seat yet again as his spot on the roster is never a guarantee.

Marcus Allen is a former draft pick of the Steelers and has failed to distinguish himself so far. If Allen can show the coaching staff a jump in his ability at Safety and on special teams, Dangerfield is going to be in big trouble when it comes to final cut time. Allen is also younger than Dangerfield but perhaps the experience can be a major factor in the coaching staff’s final decision.
