Special teams

Chris Boswell

Jordan Berry

Kameron Canaday

There isn’t much surprise here, as I have the Steelers keeping the same special teams unit together that they’ve had for the past three seasons. Chris Boswell is coming off the best year of his career where he sunk 29 of 31 field goals in 2019 and made all 28 of his extra-point attempts. With the way his contract is structured, there is zero chance he leaves.

Every year, we wonder if Jordan Berry will get the boot, but he’s going on six years now as the Steelers punter and is coming off one of his better seasons where he averaged 45.5 yards per punt. Though it’s plausible that another punter could beat him out for the job, I don’t see it happening in a year without a preseason. Long snapper Kameron Canaday is going to resume his role for the fourth straight year in 2020.

There are a handful of players for the Steelers who won’t know if they will get a helmet until the team cuts their roster down to 53 players. But these 41 players are locks to make the roster in 2020.
