Defensive line

Cameron Heyward

 Stephon Tuitt

Tyson Alualu

Chris Wormley

There are no questions about making the roster when it comes to these four players. Cameron Heyward and Stephon Tuitt are two of the highest-paid players on the team for a reason. They have a chance to become one of the best interior defender pairings in the league if they can both stay healthy.

Mike Tomlin stated that Tyson Alualu will get snaps at nose tackle. The former first-round draft choice back in 2010 is coming off one of his best seasons, and he should be a versatile player who can fill multiple roles along the defensive line.

Chris Wormley was the result of a rare trade between the Steelers and Ravens this offseason. He will most likely be a rotational 5-technique who can sub in for Tuitt or Heyward when needed. He could also end up seeing some snaps at nose tackle.

Isaiah Buggs is a player I contemplated including in this list. While I think his job is pretty safe, there is an outside chance the former sixth-round draft choice could be demoted to the practice squad this year. Other players who could miss the cut include Dan McCullers, Henry Mondeaux, Cavon Walker, and rookie Carlos Davis. It will be interesting to see how these bottom defensive line spots play out.
