QB

Ben Roethlisberger: 375 complete, 586 attempt, 63.9 percent completion, 4425 yds, 32 TDs, 14 INTs

Fantasy score: 291 (9th ranked QB in 2019)

Ben Roethlisberger is bound for a rebound season, as his 2019 was cut short but his season-ending elbow injury. All reports point towards Roethlisberger rebounding in a major way in 2020, and considering some of the new weapons he has, he could be in store for a strong season. That said, Roethlisberger has rarely been a top fantasy producer, so the 9th overall ranking would be a typical season for him if he were to score that much.

Where he could really prove effective is in the red zone, as the Steelers added TE threat Eric Ebron and drafted Chase Claypool in the second round of the draft. Assuming they all fit into the offense as they should, Roethlisberger could be in line for more TDs than his average season. Don’t be surprised if that number ticks up towards 35 total TDs and would likewise beat match or beat his career-best of 34 in 2018.

On top of this, the Steelers are returning their starting three WRs. This could lead to a decent yard output for Roethlisberger. The biggest question will be his turnovers, as he has always been willing to take risks when throwing the ball. While that has worked for him overall, it has also led to a surplus of interceptions during his career. While those numbers won’t destroy his fantasy season, it could lead to lower points over the course of the season. All of that said, he could be a sneaky good value pick at QB for any fantasy owner.
