The running game will be much better in 2020.

The running game should improve by leaps and bounds this season. James Conner is returning healthy. Jaylen Samuels is still a swiss army knife. Benny Snell Jr. will take a step forward in his sophmore year. Anthony Macfarland Jr adds a great amount of speed to this group. This improving running game definitely helps make the Steelers Super Bowl bound.

Healthy again

The Steelers saw a plethora of injuries in their running back room. James Conner, Jaylen Samuels, and Benny Snell Jr. all missed time in 2019 due to injury. The Steelers saw a lot of Trey edmunds and Kerrith Whyte in exchange. Having a Pro Bowl running back healthy and even further removed from cancer treatments adds a lot of hope to this room. Jaylen Samuels still fits in anywhere the Steelers decide to place him. Benny Snell Jr. is looking to take another step forward this season.

Balancing attacks

The Steelers offense had little to know threat in the passing game in 2019. As a result defenses had committed to stopping the run. We saw defense load the box against the Steelers a lot in 2019 and the only thing they were able to do to combat that, was to run with a heavy formation. Ben is back, and the passing game is going to improve mightily because of it. Teams are going to have to respect his arm and the Steelers are going to be able to matchup better in the box because of it.

Improving the offensive line

The Steelers offensive line looked like it was aging last season. Ramon Foster retired and as a result Matt Feiler moved back to his original position in college, left guard. They also signed veteran guard Stefan Wisniewski as quality depth. They also drafted Kevin Dotson for more depth. The Steelers seem comfortable with either Chucks or Zach banner at right tackle, but they improved the interior of that offensive line. This will help for a team that likes to run out of the shot gun.
