5 greatest Pittsburgh Steelers wide receivers of all time
John Stallworth
Another player from that storied 1974 Steelers draft class makes this list and he was the fourth-round pick that year. Stallworth was a favorite of the Steelers entering the draft and was favored over Swann by many. Because he was from a smaller school, Alabama A&M, and could be selected in a later round. Swann and Stallworth would become a dynamic duo that would terrorize defenses for many seasons.
Stallworth turned out to be the better of the two when you compare their stats from one another. Stallworth made huge plays and was a difference-maker for the Steelers during his playing career. Stallworth would provide a Hall of Fame resume and be enshrined into the highest football honor for a player. He would join many of his teammates as the high flying, play-making Stallworth ran routes to Canton.
Stallworth was also extremely durable throughout his career as he played 13 seasons in the NFL, all for the Steelers. Stallworth is ranked third all-time for receiving yards for the Steelers. His Hall of Fame accomplishments include 8,723 receiving yards, 63 receiving touchdowns, four Super Bowl Championships, three Pro Bowls, First-team All-pro, and NFL comeback player of the year.
