Safeties: 5

Minkah Fitzpatrick, Terrell Edmunds, Jordan Dangerfield, Marcus Allen, Curtis Riley

Clearly, Minkah Fitzpatrick and Terrell Edmunds aren’t going anywhere. I also have Jordan Dangerfield assuming a backup safety role due to his experience on the team and his tackling ability.

In addition, I have Marcus Allen making the squad this year. He should give Pittsburgh some versatility and perhaps take snaps in the ‘dime backer’ role this year that was previously occupied by players like Mark Barron and Morgan Burnett the past two seasons. I also have Curtis Riley making the roster as my final safety.

Specialists: 3

Chris Boswell (K), Jordan Berry (P), Kameron Canaday (LS)

I have no surprises here, although long snapper Kameron Canaday does have some injury concerns heading into Week 1 against the Giants. Chris Boswell is coming off the best season of his career, and punter Jordan Berry was solid for Pittsburgh in 2019. These should be the three specialists in 2020.
