Again, there isn’t much risk involved with these selections. The top four have been set, and seemingly the biggest roster question is if the team will keep either five or six receivers for the season. The top three starters are all returning, and while rookie Claypool will look to carve out a role, he will still have to rotate in with the three starters.

While most Steelers fans will lament to see Switzer on this roster, his spot is almost as secure as the first four. Simply put, Roethlisberger trusts Switzer, and in a year that a lot of opportunities have been taken away from unproven options, having that trust is more than enough to earn Switzer a roster spot. While the team can better utilize him, expect to see him on the offense still.

Finally, Cain is a speedy option to be a backup on the outside. He flashed in his limited opportunities last year, and his experience with the playbook gives him the early edge this year. While he will likely be inactive as long as no one is injured, he could slide into the top backup WR spot if worst came to worst.
