Steelers final roster prediction: Who makes the final cut?

The Steelers will likely only keep 10 total DBs, meaning if a sixth CB were to be kept, it would likely come at the expense of one of the backup S. Considering Allen’s high marks during camp, he seems like a secure choice for the roster over any of the other DBs. This means rookie Antoine Brooks is likely destined for the practice squad his rookie year.
While the Steelers have a pair of positive rookies UDFA CBs in Trajan Bandy and James Pierre. Both seem like safe practice squad options, but if the Steelers do decide to keep six CBs, don’t be surprised to see Pierre’s name on the roster. He has reportedly looked strong in camp and has made quite a few big plays during practice. Again though, unless he could beat out Justin Layne, this group seems set.
