The Steelers are gearing up for their week 1 matchup with the Giants. Here are the fantasy players you should start and sit this week

Week one of the NFL season begins in just a few short hours, and fans can’t be more excited. With the amount of uncertainty and questions surrounding this season, many fans believed this day wouldn’t come. Luckily, the season is ready to take off, and the Steelers are primed for a good week one matchup against the Giants. As with any good season, fantasy owners are keying in on the best matchups and who they should start or sit for their week one roster.

The Steelers and Giants have some obvious starts, those being Saquon Barkley and Evan Engram for the Giants and James Conner, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and the Steelers defense for the Steelers. Barkley is a top threat at RB, and even facing a sound Steelers defense should still produce well enough to be a top RB. Engram is the classic move TE that has haunted the Steelers for years. Given he is currently healthy, he should be primed for a big game.

As for the Steelers, Conner is a top RB when healthy and should run over the Giants LBs in week one. The same goes for Smith-Schuster, who is looking to earn a big contract and will start that quest against the Giants. Finally, the Steelers defense is one of the best in the league, and considering some of the issues the Giants have on their offensive line, the Steelers defense could feast on some sacks and turnovers in week one.

While the obvious starts are clear, some of the other options are murkier. Weeks are won and lost by starting the right or wrong player, so hitting it big with an unexpected player is key to dominating the fantasy ranks. With all of that said, here are four Start ‘Em and four Sit ‘Em candidates for the Steelers vs Giants.
