Daniel Jones can play

It is incredibly important for the Pittsburgh Steelers to be ready for Daniel Jones come week one. He is young, but he should not be overlooked. He was surprisingly mobile in 2019 and he is a quarterback who is not afraid to attack a defense in whatever way he can.

If there is one player that surprised me more than any of the other rookies in 2019 it was Daniel Jones. Per ProFootballReference, Jones played 13 games and started 12 of them. He earned himself a 61.9% completion percentage while throwing for 3,027 yards and 24 touchdowns while throwing 12 interceptions. He did all of this while dealing with an incredibly poor offensive line and seeing Evan Engram on the field for 8 games, while his other top pass catcher, Sterling Shepard was only on the field for 10 games.

He did show some poise with 2 game-winning drives last season. One of these game-winning drives was against the Buccaneers, while the other was against the Washington football team. Jason Garrett is almost definitely better at the offensive coordinator spot than Mike Shula and he should definitely be able to help Daniel Jones with a better offensive game plan week in and week out in the 2020 season.
