Ben Roethlisberger vs. Giants defense

It is no secret that Big Ben will likely be a little rusty having not played a meaningful game in almost a full calendar year. The Giants’ defense has a solid front seven so the Steelers line will need to keep them at bay to allow Ben to get in a groove.

The Steelers run game must be better this season to help open up the pass. If they can get the defense to respect the run, Big Ben should be able to find his receivers and new tight end Eric Ebron early and often.

Roethlisberger has had good reports from camp in his arm strength and overall look coming off his elbow surgery. He has a good matchup against the Giants secondary who finished near the bottom of the league in most pass defense categories in 2019.

Next. Pittsburgh Steelers will have a difficult 6-game stretch this year. dark

The Steelers have the advantage in most of these matchups and should come out on top. If they can contain Saquon Barkley and rattle Daniel Jones early in the passing game, they should be able to start the season 1-0 and head into week two on a high note.
