On the opening drive of the second half, the Giants seemed to be moving the ball down the field. They had converted 4/5 third downs and a 4th and 1.

In the red zone, on 2nd and 3, and the 19th play of the drive, Daniel Jones rolls out to his left being chased by Bud Dupree. Bud would get a hand in to interrupt Jones’ throw and Cam Heyward would catch it in the endzone.

The Giants had been gaining momentum and Pittsburgh just took it away. Bud Dupree had been absolutely phenomenal all night and this play showed a perfect example of it. Bud had been relentless and showed a tremendous motor all game. The offensive line looked absolutely deflated after this play.

They had been getting beat up at the line of scrimmage the entire game. Daniel Jones had been sacked multiple times and had been pressured all game. This had been the straw that broke the camel’s back. The first drive the Giants had after this play would end in a 3 and out.

By the time the Giants would shake off this play it was too late. They wouldn’t score another point until garbage time in the 4th quarter as the game was well in hand for the Steelers.

It started off slow, but as Ben and his offense found a rhythm, it became more and more clear how unevenly matched these two teams were. Ben’s arm looked good, his throws had a lot of zip. If he keeps getting better the Steelers are going to make some serious noise.
