James Washington need to get the ball more

Every time I watched James Washington in the second half of the 2019 sesaon, I came away impressed. Now he’s moving that trend into 2020. Washington only received 3 targets compared to JuJu’s 6 and Diontae Johnson’s 10. However, he certainly made the most of them.

Washingon turned his three looks into 2 catches, 34 receiving yards and a touchdown that I’m not sure any other receiver on the team would have been able to get. After being hit by two Giants defenders, Washington kept his balance and lunged forward to cross the plane of the endzone.

In his only look where he didn’t come away with the ball, Giants defensive back, James Bradberry, was able to land an uppercut on the football to jar it loose from Washington’s hands.

Ben didn’t look Washington’s direction often this game, but he will have plenty of reason to do so moving forward.
