Steelers offensive line: stock – down

The once-great Steelers offensive line lost a step in 2019 to drop down toward the middle of the pack as a unit. They lost their hall of fame coach Mike Munchak to Denver so the drop off is what many expected but not the large one they experienced.

Week one proved to be a chance to show they can get back toward the level of play fans saw from 2014 to 2018 but it did not start well for them. They did end up picking things up in the second half as they ended up rushing for over 100 yards and only allowed two sacks.

If they are going to have success this season on offense, it starts with the offensive line playing better for the whole game. Things could start to look up if they can get back veteran David DeCastro though they will possibly have to replace Zach Banner, who suffered a potentially serious knee injury late in the game.
