Diontae Johnson: stock – slightly down

I say slightly down for Diontae Johnson who had a rough first half with a muffed punt that let the Giants get a field goal and two dropped passes. He was targeted four times and only mustered two yards on those targets.

Johnson had a breakout 2019 season and looked to be primed for a bigger role with Ben back but the first half did not help his cause. James Washington made the most of his targets catching both for 34 yards and the half-closing score.

Johnson’s second half started like much of his first-half went after he did not turn for a pass that ended up hitting him in the back. He came back to have a decent second half finishing the game with six catches on 10 targets for 57 yards. He can carry that second half into week two to start out better than he did Monday night.
