The Steelers won their first game on Monday Night Football. A lot of things went well for the Black & Gold to earn their win.

The Steelers were back tonight and they looked good with their quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger. He controlled the offense to success and got help where needed. We also got a good performance from the defense that continues to make plays especially when it counts.

The Black & Gold will be better in 2020 because they have a healthy Ben Roethlisberger. He is probably not the Roethlisberger you’ve come to know, but he is mature enough to get the job done.

I like where this defense is at, they are opportunistic and that helps. They do the little things like making interceptions by pass rushers. They also do the big things like make stops on key downs and stop the run.

JuJu Smith-Schuster had a great night. He is in sync with Ben Roethlisberger but he also does the little things. He had a key fumble recovery and also recovered an onside kick. It’s good to see him back and succeeding with Roethlisberger.

James Conner got hurt tonight, but they were aided by the help of Benny Snell Jr. He did have a fumble that was recovered by the offense, but other than that, he had a great game for the Black & Gold.

Let’s take a look at five things that went right tonight.
