Dallas Goedert

Dallas Goedert is in a tricky spot as a fantasy option. His natural traits and size make him an obvious mismatch, but he is playing behind one of the best TEs in the NFL in Zach Ertz. Goedert has had big games in the past, but those usually came at the expense of Ertz missing time. Now, it appears as though the Eagles will try and keep both of their talented TEs involved in the passing game.

Goedert was a favorite target in week one, and while his overall stats likely won’t be that every week, he should still have value for fantasy football owners. Considering the number of weapons that the Eagles have, Goedert will be a safe bet for 4-5 targets a game. Given his size though, he should be a favorite option in the red zone. If he can keep up his efficient numbers and add the occasional score, he will be a borderline starter for fantasy football owners.

Fantasy players should sign Goedert and start him if they need him. As well, he would be a strong bench option who could fill in in case of injury. He won’t put up top numbers each week, but he should be consistent enough to be a safe play weekly. As well, he could go off on any given week, so keep him in mind as a high reward option.
