Steelers fantasy football: Players to start or sit in week 2
By Andrew Falce
Drew Lock
Verdict: Sit ’em
While I am really high on Drew Lock heading into his sophomore season, he is in for a tough week two. While Daniel Jones had some success, he also was in the dirt often. As well, he threw two interceptions. Expect a similar performance from Lock in week two as his offensive line is rough. This will lead to constant pressure and mediocre performance.
Lock has obvious talent, but the defense he is facing will likely shut him down. The Steelers did the same thing against the Giants this week and should expect them to do the same in week two. Lock will have his successes and would likely find the end zone once or twice, but he is in line for a couple of turnovers as well.
While Lock could put up a solid week, the Steelers defense has major turnover potential which will cap his fantasy potential. Expect a performance similar to that of Jones, one that has its highs and its lows. While he could be a safe bet to start later on in the season, keep him on the bench for this week.
