The Pittsburgh Steelers met up with the Denver Broncos in Heinz field for a week 2 showdown.

The Pittsburgh Steelers were considered favorites coming into week 2. After a week 1 loss to the Titans, the Broncos came in looking to get their first win on the season. Meanwhile, the Steelers were looking for their first 2-0 start to the regular season since 2017, which was the last year they made the playoffs.

Injuries were a huge focal point coming into week 2. Denver would be missing Von Miller, AJ Bouye, Mark Barron, and Phillip Lindsay. The Steelers would be without Stefan Wisniewski, David Decastro, or Zach Banner. With Denver missing a starter in multiple areas on defense and offense, Pittsburgh’s injury concerns removed both the starting right guard, backup right guard, and the starting right tackle.

To their credit, Kevin Dotson and Chuks Okorafor played a fantastic game against Denver’s front 7. It wasn’t pretty, but they kept Ben clean for the most part and it was a huge boost from a mid-round pick rookie right guard without a proper preseason and a backup turned starter at right tackle. The Broncos, however, would walk out of week 2 even more injured than they came into week 2.
