Will Ebron show up

There was a lot of hype this offseason when the Steelers added Eric Ebron to a two-year deal. The former Lion and Colt was known for his athleticism and red zone ability. He can be a unique weapon for the Steelers and help cure the scoring troubles they had last year. With all of this hype, it made his week one appearance even more disappointing.

While Ebron had a great catch for a first down, that was his only catch. For all the talks of two TE sets, the group was a major disappointment in their first outing. While the hope for Vance McDonald was less so, he barely even registered on the stat sheet. This group has a lot of potential, its just time for them to show it.

This doesn’t mean the Steelers need to constantly employ two TE sets, but they need to find a way to get them more involved in the passing game. The more weapons the merrier in this offense, and considering the money invested in this position, the Steelers should expect more from their TE room.
