The Steelers defense started on the right foot in week one against New York and look to continue that dominance in week two.

Pittsburgh’s defense is very much the reason they finished 8-8 in 2019 despite losing Ben Roethlisberger for the season early on. Now, after a 1-0 start propelled by good defensive football, the Steelers face the Broncos in their home opener.

Denver comes into the game 0-1 after losing on Monday to the Tennesee Titans. The Denver offense did not do much against a stout Tennessee defense and the score was closer than the game was due to Tennessee missing four kicks in the game.

The Steelers defense is in a great position to continue where they left off with New York last week. They were able to hold Saquon Barkley to just 66 total yards, including just six rushing yards.

Pittsburgh has another shot at a young quarterback in Drew Lock. Daniel Jones had an ok game in week one but, he fell victim to a relentless Steelers pass rush that forced him into two bad decisions resulting in interceptions.

The team should set its focus on three keys to hold the Denver offense in check. If they can focus on their keys, they should have no issues against a Denver offense that struggled for most of week one.
