Limit Melvin Gordon

The Broncos signed Melvin Gordon in the offseason to complement Phillip Lindsay and formed a pretty good duo. However, Lindsay is out of this week’s game leaving Gordon as the main back for the matchup.

Gordon has played the Steelers twice dating back to his days as a Charger. They have held him to 2.61 yards per carry and out of the endzone in those two games.

Gordon isn’t what he once was but he is still a very formidable back in the league. He has the quick cutting ability and good burst out of the backfield that many good runners do, so the Steelers front will need to fill their gaps and take good angles to limit his production on Sunday.

Pittsburgh is looking to start 2-0 on the young season and these keys should help them do just that. The defense will be up to the task, as they have been since the beginning of 2019.
