The Steelers are off to a good start in the 2020 season, but there are a few positions that need upgraded depth. Here are four free agents they should call right away.

The Pittsburgh Steelers aren’t known for their blazing-hot starts to the NFL season. Even in years when they play four preseason games, it usually takes Mike Tomlin’s team several weeks before this team irons out all of the kinks.

Though the Steelers haven’t exactly played the toughest opponents to begin the season, Pittsburgh has taken care of business against the New York Giants and Denver Broncos in the early going. In doing so, we’ve witnessed a lot of positives in the first two weeks.

For starters, Pittsburgh’s defense has picked up right where it left off last season. T.J. Watt looks as dominant as ever while other players like Bud Dupree, Mike Hilton, and Tyson Alualu have stepped up to play pivotal roles in the first two weeks.

JuJu Smith-Schuster appears to be back to 2018 form while Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool, and James Washington have looked promising in the early going.

Unfortunately, there are some areas that Pittsburgh must improve on in order to be legitimate contenders in 2020. Against good opponents, these positions could prove to be a liability during the season and into the playoffs.

Fortunately, the Steelers have cleared some cap space and there are a few veteran free agents who could bolster their roster right away. Here are four players Pittsburgh should call right now:
