C Justin Britt

After starting on the Seattle Seahawks for all six of his years in the NFL, Britt may not be open to joining the team as a reserve center, but he may not have much of a choice in where to go at this point. Britt has started 86 of 87 games since entering the league in 2014 and his experience on the offensive line would be welcomed.

While Pittsburgh brought in Stefen Wisniewski this offseason to serve as a backup to Maurkice Pouncey as well as both guard positions, his health is very much in jeopardy after suffering a potentially severe pectoral injury in Week 1 against the New York Giants.

If he can’t go anytime soon, Pittsburgh could use a quality backup, and it would be scary if J.C. Hassenaur had to see the field this year. Remarkably, Britt also has experience at right tackle and left guard in his NFL career, and he started at those two positions respectively in his first two years in the league.

Even if Britt just rides the bench this season for the Steelers, it would give Pittsburgh piece of mind knowing they have another experienced, versatile veteran who is ready to come in at a moment’s notice – especially if Wisniewski does not return this year.
