Jerick McKinnon

The 49ers received the short end of the straw in week two, losing about half of their starting roster to injuries. In the wake of all of these injures, Jerick McKinnon saw the field and looked great in limited work. He only ran the ball three times, but he gained 77 yards and found the end zone. Considering he is due for an expanded role given the Mostert injury, McKinnon is a must-add.

McKinnon has seemingly struggled with injuries during his entire 49ers career. Finally healthy this year, he is stuck behind two other options on the depth chart. Now, he should see the field more often, and given how dynamic he looked in limited touches this year, could take over as the starter until Mostert returns to the team.

On top of his running ability, McKinnon can catch the ball out of the backfield, further adding to his value in PPR fantasy leagues. Expect to see him make more plays for the 49ers in his expanded role, and he could be a weekly starter until Mostert comes back from injury. If he can showcase enough right now, he could continue to carve out a role for the remainder of the year.
