The Steelers thwarted a comeback effort and are undefeated thus far on the 2020 season

The reality of the win against the Broncos is that there should have been no comeback attempt to thwart.  The Steelers were in complete control of this game and should have ‘blown the doors off’ of the Broncos en route to an easy victory.

Unfortunately, that was not the case and I fear that will be a disturbing trend all season. I hope I’m wrong about that.  I hope we will be able to extricate ourselves from the tendency to allow teams to hang in games when we should just put them in our ‘rearview mirror’ and coast to a win.

I think the Steelers are playing great complimentary football right now and that type of play must continue for us to accomplish the goal that we set out to accomplish every season, which is this: win the Super Bowl and bring the Lombardi Trophy back to Pittsburgh.

Since the NFL is a ‘week-to-week’ league, it really does not matter what the Steelers did against the Broncos last week or did against the Giants the week before that, it only matters what the Steelers will do against our next opponent and that opponent after that and the opponent after that.

So far, so good…bring on the Houston Texans!
