B.J. Finney

The guard with the famous signing announcement to his childhood team left this past offseason to the offensive line needy, Seattle Seahawks. The former undrafted free agent out of Kansas State was a big contributor for the Steelers after beginning a plug and play lineman across the interior offensive line for the black and yellow for many seasons.

Finney re-signed with the team on a one year deal before becoming a free agent this past offseason. He would sign a two-year deal that has the potential to be worth up to eight million. That is an amount Pittsburgh couldn’t match and the team lost another player via free agency.

Finney has not faired well ever since leaving the Steelers and trying to fly high in Seattle. The Seahawks have not found what they were looking for when they signed the Kansas State product. Now they are in the season and looking at free agents to sign off the street.

It was reported the Seahawks are looking at bringing in the former starter, Justin Britt to re-fill his role as the starter on the line instead of Finney. Could it be possible that his stay in Seattle doesn’t last long and the Steelers could bring him back on a much cheaper deal? Never say never especially if he is released and the Steelers lose more lineman to injury.
