The Pittsburgh Steelers are still cleaning up some small issues and mistakes in the 2020 season.

While the Steelers are still working out some of the small things that teams work through in the preseason, they are one of the most well-rounded teams in football on offense and defense.

On defense, the Steelers have been committed to stopping the run and generating pressure to force errors in the passing game. As a result, the Steelers have been showing a ton of success against the run this season, ranking first in rushing yards allowed in 2020 with just 133 yards total on the season.

With a more pass-oriented offense coming in against them in week 3, we are likely to see a more similar performance as to what we saw in 2019. I expect the Steelers to give more help to their secondary, and bring out some more dime sets against the Texans. Cam Sutton hasn’t been mentioned much yet this season but I expect to see him on the field a bit, and that is a good thing for our pass defense.

Meanwhile, our offense will be able to run against this Houston squad. While Ben has already been showing success as a passer this season this is a team that shouldn’t be able to stop the Steelers from doing whatever they want to do on offense.

While this is a better team than the Giants, it isn’t that much better than the Broncos. I give the edge to the Texans because of Deshaun Watson and the injuries to Denver. Without a dominant tight end, for Watson to throw to, I don’t see them having more success against Pittsburgh than Denver did offensively.

This should be an entertaining game, but the Steelers should walk out with a win in a game where they should have held control of throughout the majority of it. I expect PIttsburgh to be 3-0 at the end of this week.
