The Steelers have a big test coming up in the 0-2 Houston Texans, who are still a dangerous opponent.

The Steelers are 2-0 on the season after an ugly win in Week 2 over Denver. Houston is next up and, while they are currently 0-2, they have had the toughest back to back games of any team to start the season.

The Texans are coming off back to back games against two AFC powerhouse teams in Kansas City and Baltimore. The Steelers must continue the pressure on Houston to open the season and get to 3-0.

The Steelers made it ugly but got the victory Week 2 against the Broncos. They can’t afford to play as sloppy as they did in the second half last week and expect to win against DeShaun Watson and the Texans.

It will take a complete game playing like they did to get out to a 17-3 lead if they are going to continue into Week 4 with a zero in the loss column. The defense must clean up the mistakes in coverage this week or Watson will make them pay every time.

The matchups this week are simple and to the point and must be won for the Steelers to come out victorious. The first is shutting down a freshly-paid, franchise quarterback in Deshaun Watson.

DeShaun Watson vs the Steelers pass rush

Watson is the best quarterback the Steelers will have seen in the first three games. His mobility and arm together pose a serious threat when given time.

His ability to escape a pass rush must be noted by Pittsburgh. They can’t simply pin their ears back and rush. The defense must do their job and each guy must keep their assigned gaps and containment to limit his ability to stretch plays.
