The Steelers are 3-0 because they make plays when they have to. They didn’t bring their best against the Texans, but they gritted out the win.

The Steelers are 3-0 and that is something to celebrate. They have made timely plays in all of their games and that is why they are winning games. In the game against the Texans, they didn’t play their best football especially in the secondary.

I liked that this team made plays when they needed to. James Conner ran the ball well and Chase Claypool had an effective run after the catch at the end of the game.

This is a smaller story for the game, but Chukwoma Okorafor has been playing some good right tackle. I think the Black & Gold will be okay at that position. The secondary didn’t have a great game, but Mike Hilton had a timely interception in the fourth quarter that may have turned the tide of the game.

Eric Ebron showed up for the Steelers. He may be a part-time player, but he shows up in the passing game. It hurt to lose Diontae Johnson, but Ray-Ray McCloud showed up as a punt returner by not making any mistakes.

Let’s take a closer look at the five things that went right in the win over the Texans.
