The Steelers needed a come from behind effort to beat the Texans at home for a third straight victory

The Steelers displayed a tremendous amount of inner fortitude to come from behind to emerge with a victory at home against the Houston Texans. We overcame a double-digit deficit to earn our third straight win, which means that through the first three weeks of the 2020 season, our Steelers are undefeated.

As I have stated in several articles, the NFL is a ‘week-to-week’ league.  You’re only as good as your previous game and will only be as good as your next game.  For the last three games, we have been really good in terms of being able to win games.

This does not mean that we are a perfect team as evidenced by the fact that we trailed the Texans by 11 points early in the game, but the Steelers showed some ‘mettle’ in being able to not only overcome said deficit but to essentially take command of the game and ‘salt’ it away in the fourth quarter.

The win against the Texans showcased what I believe was a total team effort.  Again, after having been down by 11 points, for the Steelers to come back to earn the victory at home in what was our third straight win proves that when the Steelers play as a team, regardless of whether we are winning or losing, we can overcome anything.

Playing as a team will not necessarily translate into a win every week, but it certainly worked out that way against the Texans.  So now let’s take a look at how we fared on the offensive side of the ball.
