3. JuJu Smith-Schuster

If you look at just the raw number for JuJu Smith-Schuster this year, then you aren’t seeing the full picture of how impactful he has been to this football team in the early going. Though JuJu is just 15th in the NFL in receptions and 45th in receiving yards, he has been incredibly efficient through the first three weeks of the season.

Smith-Schuster is currently catching 89.5 percent of his targets and has earned 3 touchdowns in three games. While he has managed just 9.4 yards per reception, his catches have come during crucial moments as his effort in extending for first downs or breaking the plane of the endzone has been fantastic.

While we would like to see more explosive plays out of JuJu this season, we certainly can’t be disappointed with what he’s done so far. The young receiver has executed exactly how he was supposed to so far. It’s also worth noting that 43 other receivers in the NFL has received more targets than JuJu so far this season. With just over 6 looks per game, Smith-Schuster has made the most of every opportunity.
