The Pittsburgh Steelers are going up against a talented but banged-up Eagles offense in Week 5.

Carson Wentz and Zach Ertz are the two best players on this offense. Miles Sanders is up there as well. Yet, if they wish to stop the Eagles offense they need to focus on Zach Ertz. The Eagles have talent at WR but as of the time I am writing this, less than half of their WR’s have any kind of injury designation. They have 3 questionable WR’s in Alshon Jeffery, Desean Jackson, and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, 2 more WR’s on the IR, and Marquise Goodwin is already listed as out. Meanwhile, they only have 3 WR’s without any sort of injury designation.

When 3/8 of your wide receivers are actually healthy you are going to have issues. What makes it even harder, is Zach Ertz’s talented partner in crime, Dallas Goedert, is on IR as well. The Eagles Rb’s are pretty talented receivers out of the backfield but they will have a hard time pushing the ball down the field through the air.

Miles Sanders is going to be a key factor in this game for Philly. The Eagles have to make something happen running the ball, but they are playing against the #1 run defense in the league, being Pittsburgh. While Carson Wentz is certainly better than Jeff Driskel and Daniel Jones, he isn’t as good as Deshaun Watson and he has notably fewer weapons around him than Watson as well. If Pittsburgh plays the way they did in the second half of Week 3 for the entirety of this matchup, then the Eagles may get shut out.

Don’t expect a shutout, but the Eagles best chance is running the ball against the best team in the NFL at stopping the run. Also, the Eagles secondary isn’t equipped to deal with an up and coming passing attack with the best group of WR’s under the age of 25, that the league has seen on the same team, in a long time. A future hall of fame QB is going to be throwing to this group and that makes it a nightmare matchup on both sides of the ball for Philly this week, but a beautiful match up for your Pittsburgh Steelers.
