Chase Claypool had a breakout game

Chase Claypool had a great game. According to ESPN, Claypool had seven receptions for 110 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a fourth touchdown off of a run.

Claypool was dominating in getting separation. He was much better in his routes and his release off the line of scrimmage was superior to a point that they were throwing the 6’4 receiver quick slants.

Claypool was the MVP for this game and now I think the Steelers need to integrate him at the #2 receiver in the offense. Diontae Johnson has had a wide array of injuries and limiting his snaps if he is healthy next week could help him.

James Pierre also showed that he can play gunner well in the NFL as he covered a directional punt from Colquitt in the second half. I think Layne and Pierre should be their primary gunner and Claypool should be used more situationally now that he has earned his way onto the offense.
