Ben Roethlisberger had a solid day

Quarterback play is important and Ben had a solid day. According to ESPN, Ben Roethlisberger was 27 of 34 for 239 yards receiving. He also had three touchdowns and no interceptions on the day which confirms the narrative that Roethlisberger didn’t lose the game for the Steelers.

I know Ben is not the same player he was a few years ago, but he is playing well enough to win. This team invested in their defense and that has protected them against the decline of Ben Roethlisberger.

Ben Roethlisberger is still an average starting QB in the NFL. That may not be what Steelers fans are used to, but it is hard to acquire other places. The Cleveland Browns missed on a ton of quarterbacks for more than a decade and finally got their average QB in Baker Mayfield. The moral of the story is that Steeler fans should not take it for granted.
