Carson Wentz wasn’t spreading the ball around well

The Steelers were applying pressure and we’ve talked about that, but we haven’t talked about Carson Wentz’s ability to complete passes to receivers other than Travis Fulgham. Travis Fulgham stepped up for the injured receivers, but others didn’t.

Carson Wentz completed ten passes to receivers not named Travis Fulgham. That sounds like a lot but it’s not when you consider that Wentz threw the ball 35 times in the game, it’s not good. JJ Arcega-Whiteside dressed for the Eagles but only had one catch on the day. That kind of day does not get it done against a defense like the Steelers.

Carson Wentz had a fast start to his career, but he hasn’t developed into a top quarterback in the league like people thought he would after his first two seasons. Some are calling for Jalen Hurts to get a shot with the team. I think that is a little far, but that should tell you what the Eagles think of him.
