The Pittsburgh Steelers pulled off an impressive win in Week 5. Here are three important notes from their victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.

As I have previously stated and I hope that I don’t have to state this too many more times this season, the 2020 Steelers resemble a roller coaster ride, one that returns safely to its original starting point, but one that is full of twists and turns along the way.

My 22-year old son made a comment about how ‘nerve-racking’ it is to be a Steelers fan, particularly this season.  I then made a comment about I have been dealing with the stress and anxiety associated with being a Steelers fan since 1978.

Admittedly, the 1978 and 1979 seasons were not really stressful until we got to the Super Bowl, but we emerged victorious in both contests.  Fast forward to this season where the Steelers are undefeated through four games, which is fantastic, but the manner in which we have arrived at this point lends itself taxing and trying moments for the fans.

I would suspect the coaches and players are somewhat anxious during games, especially like the one yesterday, but I don’t think they are nearly as anxious as we are watching games, especially like the one we witnessed yesterday.

If you did not watch the game live and only looked at the final score, you would have probably come away with the thought that, while we gave up some points, we won the game.  That is true, we won the game, but it was another ‘wild ride’ for the Steelers.
