The Steelers got a lot of good news today on their injury report. David DeCastro seems to be the main loss for Sunday but other injury situations look good.

The Steelers host the Cleveland Browns at Heinz Field on Sunday and look good from an injury standpoint. David DeCastro is the main worry as he has an abdominal injury. This is the second injury this year, so that is a bit concerning.

The other injury the Steelers are dealing with is Diontae Johnson’s back. He was injured again on Sunday against the Eagles which raises the concern about the number of injuries he is racking up. He did move in the right direction today but being limited in practice.

Here’s a look at all the injuries for both teams after Thursday’s practice:

David DeCastro (abdominal): Questionable

David DeCastro sat out of practice on Thursday and appears to be questionable for Sunday’s showdown against the Browns. He will have to practice on Friday if he wants to play on Sunday. I think Kevin Dotson has done a decent job in relief of DeCastro and so it is not paramount that DeCastro comes back right away.

Diontae Johnson (back): Questionable

Diontae Johnson is heading in the right direction with his back injury as he was a limited participant on Thursday. The hope is that he can be a full participant on Friday and that will say whether he should be able to play. The production of Chase Claypool makes it easier to ease Diontae Johnson back. I think Claypool should be the number two receiver Sunday whether or not Johnson is back. It is better to have a guy like Johnson in the lineup though.
